Answers:
Coronary artery bypass grafting surgery has become nearly a routine procedure (except when it's your grandad)!

As with any other surgical procedure, there are certain risks that a patient should be aware of prior to surgery!. These risks vary according to each patient's specific health conditions, however, it sounds like your grandad is healthy!. Potential complications of CABG include bleeding or infection, stroke (kidney failure (related in large measure to the kidney function before the surgery), and heart attack during or after the surgery!. Please keep in mind that estimates of a particular patient's risk of any of these complications can only be made by the physician taking the individual patient's specific health circumstances into consideration!. The risk of complications generally depends upon age, general health, smoking history, specific medical conditions, and heart function!.

That being said - don't let it scare you terribly!. Many many patients have bypass surgery and do VERY well!. If you go to visit him after he has had his surgery, the first day may be a little scarey as there will be lots of tubes, IV's, a tube down his throat to help him breath!. However!.!.!.most patients are discharged to home within several days of their bypass operation!.
He'll need to take it easy for a while after he comes home!. Be careful and give gentle hugs because he'll have a "zipper" incision down his chest!. After a few weeks of recouperation, he should get enrolled in a cardiac rehab exercise program at his hospital!. Then, you can encourage him to go on walks!.

Stay positive and offer lots of encouragement to your granddad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My grandfather recently had this is February!. He is totally feeling fine now after having a heart attack before this!. I totally recommend it, it's a great thing!. Make sure the nurses give him a coughing pillow to hold over his stitches while he coughs because it is very painful with stitches over the chest to cough!. Good luck and I know how you feel right now, your grandad will be fine, it's a great thing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Based on experience, be ready to put a cool wet cloth on his forehead when he gets out of post op!.

He will feel like he has been run over by 5 fully loaded 18 wheelers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The risk is that you don't spell check!.
TOMORROW, POSSIBLE!.

How about capitalizing the first letter of a sentence!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
