my mom is a diabetic i dont live her but she lies constantly and she is not aloud to drink but she does anyway , and she gets crazy but she blames it on her disease,is it posible shes not lieing about being low on insalan rather than being drunkWww@Answer-Health@Com

It is possible that she is not lieing about being low but diabetes is not something to mess around with controlling!. There are so many bad side effects if diabetes is not controlled well!. Drinking is not good either but a diabetic can drink if they watch how their body and insulin reacts to it!. It is important to keep the blood sugar within the range that the doctor has decided is best for her!. If the blood sugar drops low then she needs to eat or drink something that has carbohydrates not necessarily sugar!. Using pure sugar will make the blood sugar sky rocket high and causing a roller coaster affect which makes the person very irriatable and mood swings!. Positive support is the only way to help her!. Make her know that you are only trying to help her so she has the longest and best life with diabetes as she can!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Having bouts of low blood sugar can make a person seem drunk!. I have seen people that I could absolutely swear were drunk and it ended up being hypoglycemia!. She needs to learn how to control her disease better!. She needs to carry snacks with her to eat when she feels her blood sugar getting low!. She should also have some hard candy or glucose tablets to take in case of emergency!. I would also have her see her doctor!.!.!.!.maybe her meds need to be adjusted and make sure she is eating right!. Have her get a medic alert braceletWww@Answer-Health@Com
Alcohol can cause your blood sugar to go low and yes with low blood sugars you can sound drunk and comas, and high blood sugars can cause irrational behavior, mostly anger!. Most alcoholics blames anything and everything on their behaviors!. ( Was married to one who quit after 40+ years)

You can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink sort of thing!. Alcoholics can only get better if they themselves make up their own minds to do it!. Same with out of control diabetics!. You cannot make them take proper care of themselves no matter how hard you wish it!.
Yes, it is very probable she is going Hypo rather than being drunk!. I act very drunklike when I go Hypo!. Dizzy, can't walk straight, can't make sense when I try to talk, slur speach, etc!. If I go Hyper then my nasty temper gets away!.
