Question: What do you do if your asthma refuses to get better!?
I mean, my asthma literally refuses to get better!. I take zyrtec, singulair, symbicort, atrovent, and have emergency xopenex, albuterol and prednisone, and even though Im' sure all of these help it just refuses to let go!. It's gotten a grip of me in these last several years of my life and I'm only 26, but my god, I feel like I'm 70! I really do!. It's like I can't even RUN at the track anymore!.

Asthma is for life!. There is no cure!. Many things can irritate it and cause an attack!. Cold weather, damp weather, exercise, can all be factors!. My parents actually moved to help my health!. I have had asthma since I was about 3!. You have to keep a healthy weight, (being overweight can make it a constant oppressor)!. Be aware of the things that can cause you to have an attack!. Every time we had a family gathering I ended up at the hospital with an attack!. This is because stress can cause you to have an attack too!. Certain foods can trigger it, animals!.!.!.!.especially dogs and cats!. I had to go on prednisone so many times, and was in the hospital with pneumonia every winter!. Don't let it get the best of you!. Ask your doctor about taking Theodur every day!. It is a pill, not an inhalor!. It may make you feel nervous when you first start taking it!. But it is what helped me the most!. A good steriod inhalor that is used once or twice a day can also help!. Singulair never did me any good, even for allergies!. You do not want to take prednisone unless you absolutely have to!. It can contribute greatly to diabetes type 2!. I know, I have that also!. being an asthmatic myself i know how u feel
but it does calm down eventually it just changes witht he seasons for me and every now and then it acts up very bad as u describe but dunt take so many meds at once it isnt good for u just keep an inhaler on you at all times dunt listen to ur school just keep it in ur pocket just take the singulair it does work and also take the prednisone-the steeroid that doesnt shrink ur nuts and sometimes you have to suffer im sorry man like i said i know how u feelWww@Answer-Health@Com

I would suggest a hugher dose of prednisone!.
