or what are limitations of people who have diabetes!?
and is the life expectancy shorter for someone with diabetes !?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It all depends on the type of diabetes, Type 1 is normally diagnosed in children but can happen later in life!. With this your pancreas is or has stopped producing insulin, thus insulin (via injections or insulin pump) is needed to treat this disease from the onset!. Regardless of diet or exercise (which will still need to be monitored)!. Age is a major factor here if we are talking about a young child blood sugar range is usually kept between 100 and 200 to prevent low blood sugar episodes!.

Type 2 diabetes, usually referred to as adult onset, is when your body produces insulin but can not use it properly!. This type can be treated successfully with the right diet and exercise in most circumstances!. If blood sugars are not kept under control at some point insulin will probably be integrated / oral medications are also available!.

People with diabetes can live long, happy lives but must be diligent in their care and make sure you see your endocrinologist on a regular basis!.

Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Type one is always insulin dependent!. It's usually diagnosed from infancy to around age 30!.
Type 2 is typically diagnosed after the age of 30!. It is treated with oral med, insulin or both!. Some type 2 diabetics can control the disease with diet and exercise, but will usually require medication later in life!. In type 2, the pancreas does not make enough insulin for the body OR!.!.!.it is producing lots of insulin but the body is not using it properly!.!.!.this is insulin resistance, but is still type 2!.
Both types can be hereditary!.
Life expectancy can be the same as people without the disease if it is controlled!. Most diabetics can do anything that non diabetics can do, but many times can not have some of the jobs they want !.!.especially if they are on insulin!. Examples!.!.!.!.can't join the military, can not get a pilots license, and in some cases can not get a CDL!.
Both types must watch their diet, staying away from sugar (we use sugar substitutes), watching out how many carbs we eat and watching our diet in general!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Diabetes is usually treated through a combination of diet (low sugar), exercise and medications/insulin!. Milder cases can be controlled with just diet an/or exercise while more severe cases require meds or insulin as well!.

People with diabetes really need to monitor their diet so as to keep their blood glucose (sugar) level in the range of 80-120!. Many have to check their blood glucose multiple times a day!. They also have to have regular checkups on their eyes and kidney function since complications from diabetes can effect these areas!. If a person with diabetes is able to tightly control their blood sugar, their chances of living a normal life, length wise, are fairly good though I would say probably still not quite as long as an otherwise healthy person!. Unfortunately, not everyone is as successful at controlling their blood glucose as would be ideal and this can lead to shortening of life span due to a number of problems including heart disease, stroke or kidney disease!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
