I got genital warts about 3 yrs ago, and was treated for it sucessfully, so it has gone away!.
Is it possible to get it back, even though i havent had sex for 18 months!?

Genital warts can be treated in a big number of ways!. the problem is that there is currently no known cure for HPV which is the virus that causes genital warts!.
That being said, even after treating genital warts, The Hpv virus may still be in your body and thus there is a possiblility of having future outbreaks!.
The good news is that, after a while, your immune system will tackle the virus and get you rid of it!. In the worst cases, a person can suffer new outbreaks of genital warts over a period of five years, but doctors say that the cycle of outbreaks can't go on forever!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, unfortunately genital warts do not go away even after treatment, but I am sure the treatment can keep the viral infection dormant for a good enough time!. As far as Gardasil shot, as the person mention above, they do not give the shot to women who already have the virus in their system unfortunately!. But atleast you have the viral infection under control with the proper treatment, and doing all you can to protect yourself and others!.

MOST PEOPLE DO NOT KNOW what they are talking about except New Mommy and the other one Peak P!. They dont know if the hpv virus goes away completely or if it is dormant!. They are finding that hpv does clear from the body after awhile of being wart free!. Anyone that tells you different is a liar and uneducated on the subject!. You get a cold but not for the rest of your life your immune system kicks its butt and thats what they are finding with hpv as well!. Even the cdc backs me up on this one!. The other people have nothing to back them up!. Saying this go have sex be safe!. Its your chose to tell of your past warts !.!.!.!.but it is better to be open and honest!. genital warts does go away it just might take a while!. Your body eventually builds an immunity towards it fighting off the HPV virus!. You should go to your ob/gyn and get it checked and see if you still have it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
genital warts does not go away!. you will have on occurring breakouts of it!. It can stay dormant for awhile but you will always have it!. Just dont have sex when you have an outbreak because that's when you can pass it on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm afraid Genital Warts never completly go away even after the treatment!.

It never really goes away!. The virus is always with you!. Can be dormant for years but could rear its ugly head again one day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
