They believe that type 1 can be caused from some sort of virus attacking the pancreas some time during gestation or after birth!. It causes the pancreas to produce little or no insulin!. It is always treated with insulin injections

Type 2 is not caused by being overweight or eating to much sugar!. This is not true!. With type 2 the pancreas does not make enough insulin for the body!.!.!.OR!.!.is making a lot but the body does not use it properly!. (insulin resistance) Type 2 is usually treated with oral meds, insulin or both!. Some with type 2 can control it by diet and exercise alone, but it usually requires medication later in life!. Type 2 can cause you to gain weight, especially if you are insulin resistant!. It can also cause weight loss!. Symptoms of both types are as follows!. There can be others, but these are the most common!. Not everyone gets symptoms, and some people don't realize they even have the disease!. There are others that think the symptoms they are having are from something else, or ignore them all together!.!.
Constant thirst
Frequent urination
Nausea or vomitting
Unexplained weight gain or loss
Blurry vision
Leg cramps
Itchy skin, but no rash
Reoccuring yeast infections in women, itchy penis in men
Frequent boils
Irritability
Headaches
Slow healing wounds
Tingling sensation in hands, arms, feet, or legs
If you feel you are having symptoms, please get checked
Other causes of type 2 are diseases that affect the pancreas, injury to the pancreas, and some drugs like, some blood pressure medications, many of the drugs used to treat cancer, drugs used to treat artheritis, steriods, and many illegal hard drugs, just to mention a few!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Causes for type 1: There isn't anything you can do to prevent this type!. I got it from a nasty virus that damaged my pancreas and caused it to stop producing insulin completely!.
Causes for type 2: You can prevent this type by eating the right foods, exercise!. If you are overweight, this can cause it!.

Diabetes mellitus is impaired insulin secretion and variable degrees of peripheral insulin resistance leading to hyperglycemia!. Early symptoms are related to hyperglycemia and include polydipsia (excessive thirst), polyphagia (excessive ingestion of food), and polyuria (excessive secretion of urine)!. Later complications include vascular disease, peripheral neuropathy, and predisposition to infection!. Diagnosis is by measuring plasma glucose!. Treatment is diet, exercise, and drugs that reduce glucose levels, including insulin and oral antihyperglycemic drugs!. Prognosis varies with degree of glucose control!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

in type one (insulin dependant) the cause is unknown although it is thought to be carried through familys!. this usually shows in childhood and requires shots for the rest of your life, but it is not the end of the world!.

type two (non insulin dependant) usually shows in middle age although with obesity being more common now it can show in twentys, teens, and some children have been diagnosed as well!. this is caused by not looking after yourself, basically!. too much fried food, carbs, alcohol, not enough exercise and anything that increases your waist-hips ratio!. this is treated by diet to start with, then tablets and can eventually lead to needing insulin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Type A: Caused by the cells not being able to take in insulin which helps absorb sugars in the cells - they're born with it!.
Type B: Developed throughout life, if the pancreas (the producing organ) is worn out through over-use - fat or old people are more prone to this!.

Signs are lethargy, needing to pee a lot, lack of sleep, some people have fits or fevers too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
