c theres nothing to worry about!.i would say tht becoz i myself is a UC patient!.n im 18 yers old!.i got uc when i was 15 yers old!.looks like hez on steroids rht now!?!?just dont give him any spicy food! even now a after also!.(i mean after the steroids course is over)!.wht daily dose is he on to!?!?i mean asacol or wht!?!?

after he gets alrht just tell him to take a stroll or a walk every evening becoz it will prevent him from getting arthiritis!(its the daily dose side effect) !.then tell him to take proper amount of sleep both at day and night!( i no becoz uc ppl have to get up at night!) tell him to do alom vilom pranayam at least for 5 minz daily!

a few months after his strodial course is over try out new food i mean like milk coffee, tea( but i would recomend not to take TEa at all) or other vegitables! and see wht suits him!.
one more thing i would like to say try out ayuervedic medicine it helps within months!rather i would say days!.
n biggest thing!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.tell him not to take any tension and stress!.and please as parents what im gona say might emabarse you Please Dont Fight In Front Of Him!(im sorry to say this)becoz it might give him a tension which can bring him down in minute!.dont force him to got to places where he dosent want to go! and just check out if his scared of people or crowed places!(as im scared n it happened so becoz of my illnes)if soo c him to a counceller! but it hink its important to c a counceller because they help u to handle life better(thts for the boy to understnad)!.i my self is going to one!
tell his friends to make him comfortable when he's with them!.
not to make fun of his illness as he has to use toilets when hes out at different places!(thankxfully i never had frnds who made fun of my disease)!.and even if someone say or passes a comment tell him to give a good answer back at him/her!

rest just check his weight,Hb at regular intervals!.tell him if he sees any bleeding in stools he should tell you immidately!.dont give him oily and heavy food!.and yes NO GREEN or Red Chillys just cut it off!make him feel secure and tell him that hez not got any big disease like cancer!(i no its difficult but its important)!.

thats all for now! i guess it would help you out! but most importantly dont give him BEL patri ka muraba! it will cause remissions( my mom gave it to mee 2 time n i was in a mess!)Www@Answer-Health@Com

My daughter has colitis!. Biopsies can tell about many diseases including cancer!. They are used for diagnosis and staging!. Prednisone causes the body to accelerate healing!. It may cause the patient to get Puffy, stronger, sleeplessness, many things!. But, it is great for healing!. All its side-effects will go away upon quitting taking it!. Colitis can be medicated but may eventually call for surgery!. Then they will remove the effected part of the colon!. You'll be okay, but I know it's very uncomfortable!. Keep an eye on it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
