Hello the Jess - any swelling of a gland can mean an inflammation of that gland!. That can be caused by infection - so it is best to see your doctor!.

Believe it or not - intolerance (sensitivity) to certain foods is also strongly connected to thyroid problems!. In particular, sensitivities to milk, wheat gluten and yeast are associated with thyroid issues - EVEN IF you don't have any oher symptoms of food intolerance!.

When it comes to the thyroid gland (if that's where the problem is), there are several things it can be!. I was told mine was enlarged a few months ago and have had testing done to figure out what it is!. It's better to get it checked out if you're concerned!. Trust me, you'll just drive yourself crazy thinking about the possibilities!. It's better not to self-diagnose!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

someone i know had a swollen thyroid gland, and it turned out to be underactive!. this is a lot easier to treat that overactive, which is hyperthyroid!. but anyway, go to a doctor!. the person i know just has to take a pill a day for treatment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

And probably the most important advice of all,
"Boy, you be sure you got on clean underwear, in case you're in an accident"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
