Allergies to tree pollen?!
Question: Allergies to tree pollen!?
Every year around April- early June, I get VERY sick!. Coldlike symptoms!. Wheezing, coughing, tickly throat, sinus congestion that eventually goes down into my lungs and I lose my voice!. If these symptoms are deff!. allergies to tree pollen, what is the best meds I can take to help clear up my symptoms!? I always end up on anitbiotics but I've been told these symptoms could have stemmed from allergies and turned into an infection!. My body does not fight things off well at all!.

There are several options of medications that you can take over the counter, but if you do have health insurance I would recommend seeing a specialist/allergist!. He will be able to test you for specific tree pollens, etc, and be able to pinpoint exactly what you are allergic to!.
If you're unable to do that though, there are several options!. Claritin is now available OTC and works well for many people!.!.!.I think loratadine is the same thing, or something similar!. It's a 24 hour allergy medication, so it lasts a lot longer than something like benadryl!. Benadryl has a tendency to make people extremely drowsy and lasts for about 4 to 6 hours, but works beter for me than other OTC medications!. Zyrtec, as mentioned above, is newly available in an OTC form, and works better for me than claritin!. It does make you sleepier, but claritin is regarded as a non drowsy allergy med!.
If you have severe allergies, you can always consider getting allergy shots, which I did and my allergies have decreased in severity noticably!.

I have the same problem and its due to the pollen from trees!.(usually you can see cars covered with green) Try over the counter Claritan or Zyrtec its a new medication!.Unfortunately they do make you tired!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
