Question: Abscess on my back got drained today!. How to care!?
They told me to clean it with soap and water twice a day!.
But I am scared, it is a big cut , more than an inch and no stitches!. Any suggestions about how to care and what to expect!? Please help , I would really appresiate it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

does it still have the drain!? if it does, it is better to gently clean it with a betadine on a cotton ball!. remember to clean the part around the wound first, then outward!. do this 3 times a day, and be careful on not to accidentally pull the drain!.
but if no drain was attach, just leave it dry for 24 hours!. after which, clean it 3 times a day!.

Follow the directions they told you and keep it clean!. Buy some antibiotic cream or ointment from your local store (Rite Aid, CVS, Walmart)!. Apply the antibiotic cream or ointment daily and after every time you clean it!. This will promote faster healing and aid in the pain!. Remember!.!.!.!.antibiotic cream or ointment!. If you can't find it, ask someone to help you!. This will definitely help!. I use it for everything!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Just be very gentle and you should be ok!. It will be tender and maybe you might want to not allow the shower head to shoot right down on it!. Gentle!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
