It's possible to have a negative result when a person is positive for Herpes!. Herpes is extremely common and far more people have it than realize!. If you have ever had chickenpox as a child or at any time in your life, you carry the virus in your body that can result in Herpes or Shingles!. It just takes something to activate that virus for a person to come down with it!. A person can even pass Herpes to someone else even if that person has no symptoms!. For some people, they can transmit the virus to others while having no symptoms of their own!. Some people will have extremely minor symptoms that are so minor they mistake their symptoms for something else!. Others have symptoms so bad that they have to take medication on a daily preventative basis in order to prevent/reduce future outbreaks and reduce the chance of spreading Herpes!.

If you have 2 negative test results, but you have symptoms and your partner has a positive result, the chances are extremely high that you have Herpes also!. Even if you use protection, you can still pass Herpes to someone else and they can pass it to you!. Not all tests are as fine-tuned as others and some are more accurate than others!. If you go to a doctor and tell the doctor about your symptoms and about the fact that your partner has Herpes, your doctor will likely diagnose you with it as well and put you on medication!. Or, your doctor may take a swab from you and have it tested to see if it shows you have Herpes!. Either way, you should see a doctor to find out!. It will give you peace of mind and it will give you a chance to get treatment!. There is no cure, but it is something that is manageable with treatment and there is hope for a healthy sex life, albeit one that has to be accomodated by extra precautions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Blood tests for herpes are not particularly accurate!.

I read on one lab website that they give 5% of people who don't have herpes a positive result, and 15% of people who DO have herpes a false negative result!. Most tests have at least a 10% error margin!.

Plus, some people don't seem to show high levels of antibodies and you aren't the first person I have heard say they have symptoms but test negative - some had had positive swab tests but a negative blood test!.

They are more accurate if you have had it longer - at least 3-6 months - but the error margin is still the same!. People who have only had the virus for a few months often get a false negative!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

How were you tested!? How long after you had the symptoms were you tested!? It takes your body a while to build antibodies!. This is what is detected in blood, so if you recently contracted it, it won't show up!. The symptoms usually appear 2-20 days after exposure!.The first outbreak usually occurs within two weeks after the virus is transmitted, and the sores typically heal within two to four weeks!.

Other signs and symptoms during the primary episode may include a second crop of sores, and flu-like symptoms, including fever and swollen glands!. However, most individuals with HSV-2 infection never have sores, or they have very mild signs that they do not even notice or that they mistake for insect bites or another skin condition!. I'm listing a website for more info!. If you feel the test are wrong get tested by a different Dr or clinic!. Hope this helps!. Good Luck!!!

If the test is negative then you surely dont have it, Are you sure your partner isnt fooling around with other women!? Either way Herpes is not such a bad std to have, its the least problematical std there is, you only get them once and they disapear forever!. Ive been positive 2 years and i got them once and never again, I even tell people im negative because I've overcame them!. Be thankful you don;t have hiv!. Worry about something deadly not inconvenientWww@Answer-Health@Com
