I look at it a little differently!. The evening and when you sleep is your body's least most active part of the day!. Generally, the evening meal can be the largest meal of the day!.

With little activity what is your body to do with all the glucose it can generate!. Some is stored as fat if you ate that much, the rest is just released into the blood ready for use!. In the morning blood glucose is high until you start moving around!. That why breakfast to the important meal of the day!. If not around 10:00 the body is looking for fuel that is not ready for use!.

I know a couple of times on very late house projects my blood glucose level was around evening readings!.

No science here just my observations!.

Your body has hormones that regulate different body systems!. In the early morning, around 3-4am, your body naturally releases a hormone called cortisol!. Cortisol in turn plays a role in the release of glucose and stress response!. So, basically everyone is likely to have a higher blood glucose in the morning than when they went to bed, assuming they didn't suck down a few candy bars before they hit the sack!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Blood sugar levels are controlled by two hormones, insulin, which enables glucose to be stored as a form or starch, and glucagon, which has the opposite effect!. Since your blood sugar was low at night, your body produced glucagon, which triggered your body to release glucose!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your liver releases sugar into the blood stream when it thinks it is going too low!. It happens to a lot of diabetics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Honey, I can go to sleep at 90, and be 110 at 3:00am and 350 at 6:30am!!!! It is all about the hormones!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
