Question: With tubelights and bulbs are you prone to breast cancer!?
Answers:
No!.

The risk factors for breast cancer are:

Being female -over 99% of those diagnosed are women - it's the greatest bc risk factor

The second greatest is getting older - 80% of those diagnosed are over 50!.

5-10% of breast cancer cases are due to hereditary factors!.

The other known risk factors are:

Having children at an older age or not at all!. The more children a woman has may also slightly lower her risk!. Breast-feeding helps protect against the disease!. The longer a woman breast feeds her children, the more she lowers her risk!.

Starting periods at a younger than average age (under 12) or having a late menopause (after 55)

Taking the contraceptive pill or hormone replacement therapy (HRT) causes a small increase in risk!. However, the risk gradually returns to normal after you stop taking them!.

Being overweight (especially after the menopause)!.

Regularly drinking more than 1 unit of alcohol per day slightly increases the risk of breast cancer!.

Having a previous diagnosis of breast cancer increases the risk of developing a new cancer in the other breast!.

Breast cancer, like all other cancers, happens when normal cells change so that they grow in an uncontrolled way!. This uncontrolled growth causes a tumour to form!. Lighting can't make that happenWww@Answer-Health@Com

a breast cancer, like all other cancers , is a deviation from the normal growth and development of breast !. for the sake of it we can point out a huge heap of reasons for breast cancer starting from ionising radiations to mere the butter in your ice cream !. the point is to sort out reasonable and moreover avoidable causes so that we can handle this hazard!. on this ground you need not live in darkness to avoid exposure to tube lights and bulbs for the fear of getting a ca breast!.
However, Dr Colin Holden from BAD [British Association of Dermatologists]did say: "Photosensitive eruptions range from disabling eczema-like reactions, to light sensitivities that can lead to skin cancer!." On that matter, I refer you to Professor John Hawk of the British Skin Foundation who, when asked on the Today programme if CFLs could cause cancer, said: "I think that is going to far, you'd have to be exposed to them for unbelievable amounts of time!. There have been reports in the past suggesting that was possible but they haven't really been substantiated and I think that's unlikely to happen!."Www@Answer-Health@Com
