This is not unusual!. Some redness and sensitivity is normal while on Accutane and may be due to other skincare products you are using while on Accutane!. You should be using fragrance-free, non-irritating, non-abrasive facial cleansers while on Accutane!. I would recommend baby wash/shampoo!. Nothing is more gentle!. Also, be sure that you are using a gentle, fragrance-free, moisturizer for sensitive skin!. Some of the redness may be due to dryness (which could increase if you don't treat the dryness)!. A moisturizer like Cetaphil is recommended!.

I had to use Accutane more than once!. If you stop at one month of therapy, yes, you will break out again in the future!. The average length of therapy with Accutane is about 5 months, but this can vary based on the dosage you are receiving!.

Also, make sure you are using a sunscreen for sensitive skin while you're on Accutane!. Any sun exposure while on Accutane will make your skin much more sensitive to the sun, which could also contribute to redness!.

Try to be patient -- the success rate with Accutane is much greater than with any other form of acne treatment, but it does have more side effects than others!. However, these side effects can be managed with appropriate measures!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
