Question: I'm 23 and my hair is thinning!?!? help!?
i'm a 23 yr old female!. My hair used to be very thick and starting last year I noticed my hair has become much thinner and my hair is falling out more!. I've been tested for thyroid and I don't have any thyroid diseases!. I do tie up my hair in a ponytail a lot and dyed my hair many many many times and few times even bleached it!. Can any of this be why my hair is thinning and is there anything I can do to make my hair fuller!?

I do noticed I have some baby hair which means my hair is growing back but not fast enough because I have a little bit of bald spot and its noticeable when my hair is wet!. What can I do!? pleease helpWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes, dying, styling, and pulling your hair up in pony tails can damage your hair, make it weaker, and make it more likely to fall out!.Especially if you have used bleach that could have burned your scalp!. I do all of those things and my hair has thinned out too the past couple of years because I have dyed my hair for so long (I'm 24) and the Dr explained other reasons for the hair loss!.!.!.

What made me worry more is that my hair started to fall out Drastically and I became so upset!. I also noticed that my scalp would be sore and it turned into a once a year cycle of random spurts of hair loss!. I had gone to the dermatologist who advised me that it is very common with women in their early 20's to have such a problem due to biological changes and getting older!. Also, giving birth can affect hair loss because of all the bodily changes, not to mention if you are under stress- that can affect your hair too!.

Now, the dr!. told me that the changes shouldn't last for more than about 3 months at a time (I know it seems like a very long time to have hair fall out)- but in my case it was about 6 months!. It seems like past 3 years my hair seems to want to fall out more in may and throughout the summer and stop around October or so!.!.!.

If you notice that your hair has been falling out for longer than 3 months and you can see a noticeable bald spot!.!.!. I would call your dermatologist and make an appointment to ease your mind!. It could possibly be something with your skin especially if the hair loss is prone to one secluded area!.

Make an appointment and try not to worry in the process- feel better hun!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have suffered with similar issues in the past, unfortunately for me the problem seems to be stress!. I would go and see a doctor although to ensure that it is not something hormonal or any illness that is causing the issue!. Take prenatal vitamins, once a week rub olive oil in your hair and let it set for a few hours before taking a shower, use neutrogena T-gel shampoo (if you have a dry scalp you may want to use this every other shampooing), and try to have a healthier diet and stress level!. Also, quit processing your hair in any way and never brush when wet, use a wide tooth comb instead!. You should see results soon with these methods, they work for me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dying it does take away the strength!. You should condition it every time you wash it!. Also, protein is essential to our hair!. If you are not getting enough of your daily protein, it will take a toll on your hair!. You should try pre-natal pills!. They work wonders to make your hair stronger!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok, stop dying your hair for a long while!.!.!.all of those chemicals are causing it to thin and fall!. the shampoo i recommend using is the Mane and Tail shampoo!. The bottle has a picture of a horse on it (because the shampoo is originally for horses) but its completely safe for human use!. this shampoo wil make your hair stronger, thicker, and grow faster!.

hope that helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com
