you need to see the doctor!.!. as you don't describe the symptoms!.!. this could be anything from serious to hyperventilation in which case it is a matter of breathing too fast due to an anxiety attack!.!.!. You need to have a chest Xray done and and ECG and blood works and have your vital signs tested!.!. your blood pressure and pulse!.!.!. if all of those come back normal then it is in all probability anxiety attacks that cause you to hyperventilate!.!.!. but you are not mentioning how long does this last!? Is there pain when you take a deep breath or do you have the feelings your lungs don't fill with enough air!.!.!.!? Do you have pain in your chest as if there was a weight on your chest or no pain at all just the feeling to not get enough air!? All that is important to know to make a guess what could be wrong and your age and if you had problems of this kind before!.!.!.your doctor can arrange for all the mentioned tests to be done and then you will know if this is a physical problem related to heart or lungs or a psychological problem due to anxiety or panick attacks which can also cause shortness of breath and/ or chest pain!.!. That is serious please go to the Emergency Room I had the same problem and it turned out that I need extra Oxygen I have it at home and now I am fineWww@Answer-Health@Com
