Atyipical pneumonia?!

Question: Atyipical pneumonia!?
I've had pneumonia for a few weeks, it hasn't put me in bed with a fever or anything, but I was having a lot of chest pains, arm/leg pain, and muscle twitches!. I went to the hospital and did chest x-rays and was put in antibiotics because my lungs looked more defined on the x-rays than a non-smokers should be!.

So I was told I have atypical penumonia and I was put on antibiotics!.!.!. a week went by and it seems like it was getting better but I am still getting some chest pains!. I really don't want to go back to the hospital and with 3 hours, is there anyway my body will fight off the last of it without more antibiotics!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
If you've finished out the prescription you should go back to a doctor!. I had viral pneumonia when I was about 16 years old that was mis-diagnosed as atypical I was on a prescription for 10 days and didn't get much better!. About a week after the medication ran out I developed a fever of 104 and ended up spending the next week in the hospital under quarenteen!. Doctors almost had to put in a chest tube to drain the fluid built up in my lungs!. (Fluid in your lungs is why your chest hurts)

Worst case scenario you have to waste a few minutes in a doctors office!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If I were you I would go back to the doctor, because if the infection is not gone the bacteria can come to be resistant to the med you were taking, making it harder to kill the bacteria!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
