Could I get mono!?!?!

Question: Could I get mono!!?!!?
My friend's girlfriend has mono, and I'm sure it's been a week since the worst part of the sickness, could possibly be a bit longer!.

I took a sip from his drink that lasted around 5 seconds or less, and now he tells me she had mono! Gr! Well, he says he's only kissed her dry lips but you never know!. I'm 18 and they say it's only most contagious when you have a fever and whatnot!.

I'm genuinely healthy, but I have a cold right now!. Just worried that I could get this virus!. :[ I really don't want it, and I'm sure my boyfriend doesn't either! (This guy I took a sip from his drink is his best friend, hahah)

Please help! I'm scared I could get this!. :[Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
highly unlikely, but just so you know there really isn't a wrse part of mono, it can last up to months without symptoms and once you have it you remain a carrier for life so you will never have a negative mono test again!. But it is very unlikely that you contracted it this wayWww@Answer-Health@Com

Of Course!.

Mononucleosis is typically transmitted from asymptomatic individuals through saliva, earning it the name "the kissing disease", or by sharing a drink, or sharing eating utensils!. It may also be transmitted through blood!. Individuals in close living arrangements nearly always pass the infection onto each other, although symptoms may not present for months or even years!. As with many viral infections, such as chicken pox, antibodies are developed by individuals who become infected with the disease and recover!. In most individuals, these antibodies remain in their system, creating lifelong immunity to further infections!.[2] As I've researched!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
