Answers:
Sugar Free stuff isn't for us!! It is for the dieters who can get on and off diets without health problems!.

Carbs in the sugar free stuff comes from starch fillers, the milk and a few other not so nice ingredients!.

The carbs in milk can send my glucose to the moon faster than the carbs in half cup of real ice cream!!!

When a product is labeled with a "--- Free" or "Low ---" label, it always has something else added to it to make it much less healthy than the real product!. Fats and sugars are main product left out or changed and the result is more salt or sodium!!

Buy real product and have smaller serving!! Then you won't get something else you don't want to deal with too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The sugar free world is not really sugar free!. They still have sugar alcohol in it!. That and alot of sugar free foods just make you run to the bathroom more!. The whole object is to balance!. Eat lots of protien and you can still have the carbs!. Also remember that activity is a natural way to lose the high sugars!.

Sugar free is usually steerd more for those that are dieting!.

Go for more of the "natural" foods!. They are there and alot more healthy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I always thought the sugar free stuff was for slimmers who want a treat but don't like the calorie count on real ice cream!.

Personally I'd rather balance in the good stuff than go for sweetener and starch packed "special diet" versions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some people don't have the intelligence to read a label like you and think that sugar free means it's ok in unlimited quantities!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's pure marketing!.!.!.people have been conditioned for so long to think that if they're diabetic, they can't eat any sugar!. This was the old school way of thinking!.!.!.prior to the mid-80's, when scientists finally figured out that the body handles all carbs more or less the same!. And also prior to the new fast-acting insulins that are just as effective at handling simple sugars as natural human insulin!. But that mentality still abounds!.!.!.and these companies take advantage of it!. There's nothing wrong with avoiding high-carb stuff, that's good, but this sugar-free stuff is expensive, is not usually much less carb than the normal stuff, and the Sorbitol gives you gastrointestinal problems!. I'm talking about the cookies and chocolate here, not sodas, which are carb-free with Splenda and Aspartame and a good choice!.

Instead of scooping ice cream, consider switching to ice cream bars or those pre-measured cups of ice cream!. You're right, it's easy to scoop more, but if you have a pre-measured package it's easier to pace yourself through that portion and not go overboard!. Skinny Cow makes a lot of good and tasty choices, so does Smart Ones, and Klondike bars aren't too bad, I think they're about 22g!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you are diabetic you have to watch sugar and carbs, not just carbs!. A lot of sugar free is to attract diabetics to the product, but they are not always safe!. It's just to sell the stuff!. Most of them have no added sugar, or be sugar free, but have a ton of carbs!. Your best bet is to stay away from them unless you really read the labels and find something that is truely, sugar free and low in carbs!. You are better off eating a little regular ice cream once in awhile than eating a lot of sugar free ice cream!. If you don't eat some foods you like every now and then, it can cause you to binge really bad and then it's hard to get back in control of your diet!. My nutritionist told me to eat something that I really crave twice a month!. Just in a small portion!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
