Question: My husband was scheduled to have gallbladder surgery in January but had a triple bypass!?
heart surgery instead!. And, has been prolonging the surgery!. He was told his sac was half full!. Does anybody know how fast the stones grow!? Thanks 10 pointsWww@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
Well, by saying "half full" I assume that the gall bladder is full of stones and they are big enough that the GB has to be removed conventionally!.
For decades they have been removing the GB via arthroscopic surgery, where a scope is fed through one small hole in the belly and another line fed in through a second hole that allows the GB to be drained and cut then removed!.
This is a very easy procedure and has a one night stay in the hospital at most!.
I'm sure he is probably ready for his GB surgery!. One can live with gall stones without too much discomfort and problems!. Stones grow rather slowly!. What he has probabely took decades to grow!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
