Answers:
Because they test ALL blood for Aids but dont always give the person the results - only if you request it I think they tell you xxxxxxx
Your blood is often tested when you go for routine blood tests for another reason or if you donate blood!. The results are not always given!. I believe you have to give permission for the test to done and results given to you - many refuse to have this done as it can affect insurance premiums once it is known you have even been tested for aids - even if the result were negative xxxWww@Answer-Health@Com

And your point is!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it's 71,000 who have HIV infection rather than AIDS!. Most people have HIV infection for a number of years (about 10 years on average, if they don't get treatment) before they develop AIDS!.

You can estimate the number of people who have HIV but don't know because they haven't had a test yet!.

The way you do this is to work out how long, on average, people have HIV for before they get it diagnosed!. Some people unfortunately don't find out they have HIV until they start getting sick and they get an HIV test as part of the process of working out why!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
