Locks for Love Foundation?!

Question: Locks for Love Foundation!?
I was wondering how to donate my hair to the Locks for Love Foundation for cancer patients!. I have long curly hair that goes a little past my shoulders and most likely am going to have to cut it!. I'm wondering how I go about donating it!. I live in Goldendale, WA and live near Yakima, Wa, The Dalles, OR, Portland, OR and other cities around those!. I want to know more about this foundation!.

Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i did this when i was about 8 or 9!. my hair was about down to my butt!.!.!.but i was something i really wanted to do!. just look into it online and pretty much all you do is go to your hair salon and they put your hair in about a pony or braid and SNIP cut it across, then you mail it off in like an envelop!. after a while they send you a certificate in the mail saying they got your hair and thank you and stuff like that!. hehe!. i still have mine!. since your hair isnt as long as mine was, im not POSITIVE you can do it!.!.!.because i think it needs to be a certain length!. but check online and with your hair stylist!. you should be able to do it!. trust me, you feel great knowing your giving hair to someone in need!. ill never forget that day!.

Good luck sweetie! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Almost any salon knows how to do the donation - it's actually rather common!.

I've seen women grow their hair out really long, not just past their shoulders, like, to their waist!. And when they get it cut, it's really short!. I don't know if that's because there's a minimum length that can be donated, or just because they want to maximize the gift!.

In any case, they always look beautiful after the cut, because everyone knows about the beautiful thing they did!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I donated my hair last December!. I needed at least 10 inches and it could not be bleached!. I simply called my beautician and asked if they took hair donations!. Ask the salon that you usually go to or go to a more commercialized salon and ask!. She told me that it takes up to six different pony tails to make up a wig!. It's such a great cause and it's hardly a sacrifice!. Be proud of what you are doing and spread the word!. You'll put a smile on a little girls face!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
