You and he are contagious until the last pox dries up and the scab falls off!. Yes, he can carry virus from home to share with other people!. Both you and he need to stay far away from other people, unless they already have had chicken pox!. Public places are off limits, really- since you shed the virus though coughs and the fluid from your pox, and can leave it behind for some other poor soul to pick up!. Yes, both of you are contagious!. When people are sick, they really need to stay home, no matter what the reason is!. Your job, friends, social life, or whatever else will still be there when you are better!. The only way to prevent the spread of this highly contagious disease is to stay home and avoid other people, especially ones who haven't had the disease, have not been vaccinated, and the elderly because they are at risk for developing Shingles from it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
As far as I know they are contagious when they haven't even broke out yet and when they are in the middle of it!. Once they start to break and heal they are no longer contagious, BUT some people can carry it and not be infected themselves and transmit it to others!.!.!.!.

chicken pox is a spreadable virius and when i had it as a child i gave it to 3 boys!. we were in a room apart from the rest of the family !. my parents had wear protection to get near us!.there are shots for chicken pox it will heal up i have no scars from mine!.
