To gypsydayne - You're confused!. I think you need to get a better understanding of what HIV and AIDS individually are!.
HIV has no outward symptoms!. It's a tiny virus that gets into the body and wears down the defenses!. It's not like hepatitis that affects the liver and causes jaundicing!.
Over time a person with untreated HIV will develop more illnesses eventually leading to their death!. With proper medical care a person with HIV can and does live for many years!. For how long!? 20+ years and still counting!. This isn't to say it's okay to get HIV!. It's a terrible disease, and the treatments can have serious side effects!.
Do not worry about holding hands, hugging, or just being in the same room with someone who is HIV+!. It is NOT transmitted through casual contact!. If anything a person with HIV can always use another friend!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is no clear and definitive symptom for HIV!. You will have to get tested!. Initially, you will be given a HIV antibody test which is not really sensitive!. For example if the HIV antibody test comes back positive, that is not a 100% guarantee that you do have HIV!. Therefore, a positive HIV antibody test is usually followed up by a confirmatory test which is way more sensitive called HIV1RNA!. If this test is positive, that is the only 100% that you will have that you are HIV positive!. Go get tested and for as long as you remain sexually active, get tested!. Remember to always protect yourself!. BTW, one thing that may possibly be a sign of HIV is continually swollen lymph nodes!. Check the nodes at the top of your neck, right under your cheek bone!. If there is a lump there then it is swollen!. However, swollen lymph nodes can come from an array of other things so that is not a definitive symptom of HIV!. A positive HIV test!. HIV doesn't have a lot of symptoms, but full blown AIDS has a myriad of symptoms, etc!. Do not have relations with ANYONE if you think there is a possibility that you're positive!. Go to your local health department & get tested immediately!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Usually there is no sign of being HIV positive except having HIV antibodies indicated only by a blood test!. AIDS has many different symptoms but the most common is flu like!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
