Very much so,,,mold can give off air borne spors and you breath them in,,,,,,the spors obstruct the respitory system and with poor air exchange in the lungs the heart speeds up to circulate the blood faster to get O2 into the body,,,the tightness is because of the spors in the lungs and can even make it hard to get a deep breath,,,constant exposure to mold or mildew can lead to COPD,,,Chronic Obstructive Pulmunary Disease!.!.!.!.!.get rid of the mold !!!!
Ref your' additonal about the mattress,,get rid of it,,,simple deduction,,if your problem started after you started using the mattress then its probably full of mold and/or mildew,,,or don't use it for about 4-5 days and see if your problem begans to clear up!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There could be mold or some other allergen in that old mattress!. Yes you could be having an allergic reaction to mold in your mattress!. Get the mattress out of your house!. It may take several weeks to clear up but you should feel better in just a few days!. Some kinds of molds are deadly!.
