How can you take your own blood pressure.?!

Question: How can you take your own blood pressure!.!?
Answers:
Almost all pharmacy's have free test machine!.Its easy!. don't delay!. Because I think you know you have high blood pressure!. Good luck!.Also all fire stations will check it for free!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are 'machines' that you only need one hand to operate and hook up to (I think pharmacies in some of these big stores like Wal-Mart etc!. have them so you can test yourself for free or purchase smaller wrist and antecubical measuring devices)!.

You place the cuff slightly above the inside of the elbow (it's usually marked - there are large arteries in this ante-cubical area - you know , where "they" usually draw blood!?), push the button to inflate the cuff (or do it manually up to 150/160's if you're normal, or slightly higher than what your usual pressure is)!.

The cuff will cut off circulation to the arm!. If you're on the machine it will continue from there on its own, if you're manual, you'll place a stethoscope on an arterie (the blood draw point), release the pressure in the cuff very slowly, and watch the meter go down, as soon as you hear or feel (see below for sytstolic pressure) a pulse, note the number (that's your systolic BP, then the ventricles contracts), if you're with the stethoscope, once you can't hear anything, that's your diastolic (then the atrium contracts)!. Ideally that would be around 120/80!.

If you don't have a stetoscope, the simplest way is to get your systolic bloodpressure by measuring the appearance of your pulse then releasing the air (skillfully with the rest of your fingers)!. That's your systolic and you can't get the diastolic with this means!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You may either use a digital blood pressure kit where you strap the cuff to your arm, it auto-inflates, and gives you a reading!. Or, you may use the old fashion analog one which does require some skill but it's the most accurate!. Your local pharmacy sells either one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the drugstore has a blood pressure machine you can use that or you can buy your own machine and take the test at home!. They are not very expensive and they're easy to use!. I have one of those!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My mother has her own BP machine!. Its an Omron and was around $110!. All you have to do is wrap the pressure strap around your arm above your elbow, press the button and it does the rest!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
