I don't know where people are getting these numbers, saying the chances are high and 94%, 100%!.!.!.that's all BS! Notice that these people left nothing to site their sources, no links or anything!. The actual probability is about 10% per year, and that's without medication and without protection!. So with medication, and condoms, the chances are MUCH greatly reduced!. And actually, according to another study that I read, most people who take suppressive meds (like valtrex or zovirax) are contagious without symptoms less than 1% of the time!. There are some people who are contagious more of the time, but you can read those on your own!. My point is, don't let people scare you!. I know couples who have been together for years, some decades, where one has herpes and the other doesn't!. Just get the herpes blood test!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok first of all its HSV (herpes simplex virus) not hps!. if she is taking Valtrex then that would reduce the rate of passing herpes on, since it suppresses the virus from breaking out!.
if she wasn't having an outbreak or any symptoms of one then your chances would be lowered then if she had an outbreak at the time!.
condoms don't help when it comes to herpes it takes genital to genital contact!. if genitals touch an area outside of where a condom covers then there is still a risk of herpes being passed on!.
the herpes virus is still in her body regardless if he has outbreaks or not!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm sorry but the chances of you having herpes now is probably very close to 100%!. Even though you so stupid as to have unproteted sex with someone, If I were in your shoes, I would be so pissed at this girl! She needs to be punished for not informing you of her infectious disease! What a rotten beeatch! Notify your local health center!. People like her should be sewn up so there would be no way for them to have sex!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lets see!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.you are having unprotected sex with someone with a viral infection that is able to infect her partner even if the virus is not active!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.about 100%!. You are going to get herpes if you have unprotected sex with someone who has herpes, same as HIV and every other virus!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the chance is high!. you can spread the virus without having an outbreak!. also suppression threapy with valtrex is not taken when you have an out break it is taken daily to prevent outbreaks!. i would get checked for stds including HIV!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would go talk to your doctor and explain the situation to him!. Herpes is a viral thing, so even if she didn't have any sores and you all didn't use protection she could've passed it on to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Many people who have genital herpes do not experience any symptoms, but if you do, they will usually begin between 2-7 days after exposure to the virus (usually by sexual contact with someone who already has the herpes simplex virus)!. However, it is important to note that symptoms occasionally do not appear until months, or sometimes years, after being exposed to the virus!.

Primary infection

The first occurrence of genital herpes is called the initial or primary infection!. You may experience a range of symptoms during the primary infection, including:

mild fever,
aches and pains,
swollen lymph glands (at the top of your legs), and
generally feeling unwell!.
These symptoms may last for up to 21 days!.

You may also have an itching or burning sensation in your genital area!. Painful red spots may appear around your genitals which gradually turn into fluid-filled blisters!. These blisters will then burst, leaving painful ulcers!. However, the ulcers will eventually dry out and heal, after about 10 -14 days, and should not scar!. These symptoms can vary from person to person!. For example, you may not experience the blisters, but only have ulcers which appear to be small cuts or cracks in your skin!.

For women, genital herpes usually affects the vulva (the entrance to the vagina), and sometimes the cervix!. Women may experience vaginal discharge!. For men, the affected area is mainly the end and shaft of the penis, the foreskin, and sometimes the testicles!. It is also possible, though less common, to have sores on the buttocks, anus and top of the thighs!.

Urinating may be very painful, particularly for women!.

Recurrent episodes

Once the primary infection has subsided, the symptoms will have gone, but the virus will still be present in a nearby nerve!. The virus can be 'reactivated' in some people, and travel back down the nerve to the skin!. This is called recurrence!.

When herpes recurs, the symptoms are usually milder and last for a shorter period of time, usually 3-5 days!. This is because your body has produced antibodies in reaction to the primary infection, and can therefore now fight the virus more effectively!.

Recurrences vary greatly from person to person - some may not experience them at all, and some may have six or more a year!. Early indications of a recurrence can include feeling an itching, or tingling, sensation around your genitals for between 12- 24 hours!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
