Question about healthy living and diets?!

Question: Question about healthy living and diets!?
My Grandma died a few days ago (the funeral was yesterday)!. My grandma had a lot of health problems such as heart problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, and many other health problems!. Her death really got me to thinking about my health and starting to live more healthier!. My father died when he was 69 and he also had health problems such as being overweight, heart problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, and cholesterol!. So considering that all these health problems run in the family I just feel that I should be taking better care of myself and eating more healthier and just living healthy!.

My question what can I do to live healthier and what kind of diet would work best for me considering that heart problems, diabetes, and high blood pressure runs in the family!? Are there any supplements that would be good for me to take!?

My uncle died in 1999 from colon cancer and my aunt is a breast cancer survivor so cancer also runs in the family!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have similar family situation!. My recommendation would be:
- Eat healthy!. There are many books and websites on it, I don't want to list any because they are so many!. I personally had good results with so called South Beach diet - it's easy because there is no calorie counting and it's not very limiting after first phase!.
- There are minerals known as agents for reducing cancer risk!. One of it is selenium!. Many foods contain it (for example cornflakes), it's also possible for a doctor to prescribe it if you have family genetic cancer risk!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
