Question: I am so scared!.!.!.!.Is it CANCER!?
I have bad sinus problems!! I am a 26 year old female and overweight!. For about the past 2 weeks I have had this numbness and tingling in my face!. It comes in short "jolts" all day!. It is much better when lying down!. I currently have a sinus infection!. My ENT did a CT scan of my sinuses about 4 months ago and he says they are clear!!! My GP doctor did a MRI with contrast of my brain about 10 months ago and it was normal too!. What is wrong with me!? People keep telling me it must be depression or anxiety or panic!.!.!.!.!.!. but they are wrong!! I have never had problems before!. Grrrrrrrrr!.!.!.!.!.!.!. I was looking on the internet (shame on me) and saw that with all the sinus infections I've had, face tingling and numbness may be associated with sinus cancer!.!.!.!.!. If your doctors have done tests to rule out cancer then I'd trust them!. Sinus infections are awful and can do all kinds of bad things when you have one!.
It could be stress also!. Stress does a lot of weird, crazy things to your body!. I was having problems and went to my doc because I thought I had 100 different things going on and it was all related to stress!. You could have depression or anxiety and not realize it!.
DOn't worry about the stuff pointing to cancer online!. Do a search on a stomach ache and you will find that it could be cancer!. Just about anything health related will say it could be cancer!. It Could be, but it's highly doubtful!. You are going to the doc!. and he's doing tests so I wouldn't worry about it at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do your muscles seem to "lock" at all!? If so, it could be the result of a couple of bacterial infections, most prominently tetanus or a toxin, such as botulinum!. If they don't lock, then you might have migraines; my father has terrible pain all over his head and face during a migraine!. If you haven't done so already, ask your doctor to give you a full blood panel to rule out germs!. I hope this answer helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
CT was cleared so it is not cancer!.
However, you mentioned you are overweight!. Tingling and numbness is also a sign of lack of oxygen or an issue with your arteries!. You need to speak with a physician and let them check you for diabetes, and your cholesterol level!.

Dont panic, theres a big chance it cannot be cancer!.
Try another doctor and explain to them what you have explained to us, i have a feeling it could be bells palsy!?

One symptom doesn't make it cancer, so don't panic!. Go see an ear, nose, and throat specialist and they should be able to either help or point you in the right direction!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you Diabetic!? if so it could be nerve pain form frequent high blood sugar!. It could be that your not getting enuf oxygen when sleeping at night!. if you snore or anything ask your doc wat you can do about it!. I wouldnt panic about cancer, its not as common as the media makes it out to be!. You need to return to your doctor for a new CT or MRI !. !. anything over 3 months old is too OLD to give an adequate picture of what is happening today!. The benefit to having these tests repeated is that the old scans can be used as a BASELINE for comparison!. The radiologist should be able to tell if there has been any change (ie new growth that would indicate a malignancy) !.!. so go back to your doctor and ask about repeating the CT scan!. With cancer it is common to repeat scans every two or three months in order to tract progress or non-progress of treatment!.
I do know a teenage boy who had what the doctors kept saying was a sinus infection or (mucous plug) !. !. turns out he had rhabdomyosarcoma in the sinus passages!. He was treated at Mass General using the Proton Beam therapy to pinpoint the malignancy!. He is currently disease free!.
