Question: Skin ailments!?!?!?
Okay, I'm doing a project on psoriasis and I need to know if anyone has it and if so could you explain how you got it and if there's any treatment or a cure for it!. Please don't just copy and paste an answer from wikipedia or something, only post if you actually have it or know someone who has it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have psoriasis!. It's something that you're born with (whether it flares up or not)!. There are people who have it but don't know, because nothing has triggered it yet!. They say it's an autoimmune disease, but haven't yet found the exact cause or a cure!. I have a feeling that my particular case came about when I spent a few days in the hospital with colitis and my immune system was weak!.
There are many different treatments for it, but there's still no cure!. Treatments include topical medicines (creams that you rub on the skin), pills, certain dietary changes, light therapy (either sunlight or UVB rays), and injections!. The injections in particular have horrible side effects!. Some of them can cause anything from cancer to tuberculosis!. However, for someone with severe psoriasis (or psoriatic arthritis), these can be a lifesaver!.
If you're doing a project, would you mind taking the time to do it seriously and make a difference!? People like me have a hard time in the world because the public doesn't understand psoriasis!. Some people think you can catch it!. Others think it's just a cosmetic problem (it's not - people can bleed, have pain trying to do everday tasks, or even develop arthritis that debilitates them)!. The rate of suicide in people with psoriasis is three times the rate of the general population, mostly due to the depression and isolation that can result from the disease!.
