It's suppose to help preserve their diffusion capacity!.Can't imagine having to drink that stuff!.Here is link to more info!.

do you mean Pulmonary interstitial fibrosis!? if so, then NONE!.

If you mean cystic fibrosis, It only really helps if inhaled with direct contact of the secretions!.

Oral Acetelcysteine is usually given orally to protect the liver and kidneys from either acetamenophen overdose or preventative damage to the liver and kidneys when using contrast for a CT scan!.

No benefits for pulmonary fibrosis (which is scaring of lung tisue)!.

Acetylcysteine is used to break the chemical makeup of tenacious mucus (lyses disulfide bonds thus breaking down the structure of the mucus and hence thinning it)!.

Taste and smells like crap!! (Rotten egg odor)

Can help if used in appropriate manner !.!.!.!.
