My sister is a doctor and said she has never, not one time, seen anyone who has contracted HIV from something like this!.
The odds are astronomically in your favor!. Odds are that you will go your whole life without ever knowing a single person who has HIV!. It's true!. Google the statistics!.

Chances are, the blood was yours anyway!. Don't worry yourself!.

**there are a lot of people that have no idea what they're talking about!. You don't get HIV from kissing, and the mothers who give their babies HIV is because the mother had it while the baby was in utero!. There is no evidence that anyone has EVER contracted HIV through sharing food, straws, etc!. Read about it for yourself before listening to people have really have no clue!.

I sent you an email!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I did hear that women in Africa who cannot afford to feed their babies proper food would often chew up regular food then feed it to their child, and the child did get HIV that way!. If you can get HIV from a blood transfusion, you should probably want to go get tested just in case!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It would be low, but it IS possible!.

But now that you have bleeding gums, chances are it's from you!. I eat subs all the time and I've never found someones blood in mine!. Now, you need to go to a dentist and get a good cleaning unless you want to lose your teeth or get periodontitis!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You sound paranoid!. No, you are at no risk!. Maybe 1 in 1 billion!. The HIV virus DOES NOT LIVE OUTSIDE OF A HUMAN HOST!!! No one seems to realize this!. But more importantly if you found blood anywhere on your meal why would you continue to eat it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

all of the people that answered this are hypocondriac freaks your not going to get hiv from eating a sandwich really think about it!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. u said your gums are bleeding do u want something to worry about!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
think before u ask stupid questionsWww@Answer-Health@Com

!.!.!.You ate blood!?!?

Fsh!. Vampire!. JKLOLXDWHYYYY!.

Anyway, I'd go get yourself tested!. Like now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes its possible!. You contract HIV from sharing body fluids!. Its probably nothing but you should get checked in 6 months just to be safe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe!.
But all I know is
no sunscreen = skin cancer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe I understand why you are scared - as HIV is something to be very scared of

Being HIV positive is not an easy or nice thing to be and it affects your whole life, your future health and without effective HIV medication if you have HIV you will eventually die of AIDs related infections or conditions

And even with good HIV antiretroviral medication your health will never be the same and you can suffer side effects that affect your life and you still live in constant risk of getting HIV related conditions and illnesss or serious HIV medication side efects that can also be life threatening!.

So HIV is truly something to be scared of and something you should be VERY careful not ever to acquire!.

But I am just so tired of people asking silly questions like this about HIV!.

The chances of you getting HIV from 'eating' digesting blood in the amount that may have been on your sandwich ( or may not have been as how do you know it WAS blood or that if it was it was from someone with HIV!? ) is practically nil!!

Pretty much, if you are not an intravenous drug user you only can get HIV from sex i!.e contact with seamen or vaginal fluid mostly on your own vaginal or penile mucus membranes of someone with HIV

Or exchange of blood products through using a needle for injecting drugs used by somone with HIV who has only recently used it without sterilising it in between!.!.!.!.

or blood transfusion with contaminated blood ( which is most countries is near impossible and even the most primitive health services check blood products for HIV theses days)

Although HIV transmission is thought to be very, very remotely possible orally, it has not even been proved conclusively that anyone has ever got it even from oral sex

And contact with a bleeding HIV patient when you have an open deep wound yourself or swallowing - a lot - of HIV contaminated blood!.!.!.is in theory possible but it is very, very unlikely
And certainly NOT from the quantity of blood that may - or may not - have ever been on your sandwich!.

Also your stomach is very effective in killing the HIV virus anyway - so this method of transmission would be unlikely even if it was a LOT of blood and even if you were unfortunate that the blood was from a person with HIV!. it may have been possible if you have bleeding, raw gums and mouth yourself - but again it has never been proven to have been acquired that way and the possibility is very remote!.

How do I know

I am a 55 year old woman who is living with HIV, which despite being faithful to my husband for over 25 years I got from my husband who had sex with someone with HIV 10 years before either of us realised he had HIV, or that I had got it from him!.

Live your life and be thankful you DO NOT have HIV, have some compassion, understanding and sympathy for those of us who do and stop worrying about silly and unlikely ways you could get HIV!.

Because the only way you are realistically going to get HIV is if you have sex with a partner with HIV without using a condom!.
So just make sure you never do this- and never trust someone e is HIV negative even if you have been with them years and believe they have been faithful to you - and enjoy the rest of your life without worrying about silly stuff like this!.

As some of us can not be sure how much life we have left to enjoy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
