There is no cure for autism as it is a pervasive development disorder!. Depending on where abouts on the autistic spectrum your son is there may be ways to help his condition!. Diet is often a huge factor in autistic children's behaviour and much research is being carried out at the moment into the effect diet has on these children!. It could be your son might be helped by changing his diet but you would need to consult his paediatrician!. There are many other therapies that can help children with autism and it is worth finding a good occupational therapist to help you!. Some children with an ASD do sometimes benefit from certain medications!. There is however no treatment to cure autism!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes, a close friend of mine has achieved wonders with her son through closely monitoring his diet!. It's amazing the difference in him!. At 3 he wouldn't/couldn't speak and wouldn't make eye contact with anyone!. She's taken gluten, wheat, chocotate, milk and milk products and a variety of other foodstuffs out of his diet and the difference is atounding!. Even now (he's 11) his mood and behaviour are affected immediately if he as much as has a crumb of bread, a piece of chocolate etc!.!.!.!.
It is hard work for my friend but it's obvioulsy worth it!. Sorry I don't know any sites but if you need a link mail me and I'll try and get some info from my friend!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, the disease is a kind of birth defect!. There is various kinds of training therapy, but currently there is no "cure", and probably there never will be!. Every austic is different, so you never know what you will end up with, but one thing is for sure; it is probably the worst diagnosis a parent can get!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Strongly recommend this book:
George and Sam: Autism in the Family by Charlotte Moore
She has two boys with Autism, and find that things that do help one (e!.g!. diet) have no effect on the other one!. it's a hopeful loving book, which covers a range of treatments!.
There is no magic answer, in spite of what you may hear!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
