A very delicate genital cancer question?!

Question: A very delicate genital cancer question!?
My 90 year old aunt, who is the most wonderful woman in the world, has found out after thinking she had a yeast infection, that she actually has cancer!. It's a genital cancer, affecting the inner labia (sorry to be graphic)!. I have never heard of this before!. They are going to perform several biopsies in a few weeks!. Has anyone ever had this or heard of this before!? Thanks all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Never heard of it so I looked it up for you and this is what I gathered:

It is a rare cancer and is more common in post meopausal women ususally up to age 70 (so who knows, she may be even a rarer case at 90!.!.!.or have had it for a long time)

It may have causes from a sexually transmitted disease such as HPV!. Back in her day, there were many forms of STD's that are not so common now and did not have many symptoms in women!. Plus, no protection was ever used back then!.

Obesity and other factors can contribute!.

In most cases the tumor at the site is removed!. In worse cases, other cancer treatments may be necessary particularly if the cancer has spread to other organs!.

God bless you and your aunt!. Try not to worry too much, just let the doctors do what they do!. She is a lucky woman and clearly healthy enough otherwise to have lived to 90!.!.!.!.!.seems to me so far she has had an angel on her shoulder!. I am sure that angel is still sitting there ready to work this out too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, but your question certainly had me research it!. It's rare and does generally happen in women over 60 - but could happen to any of us!.

Bless her heart!. Hopefully they can get rid of it with some good meds!. Sorry if this doesn't answer it for you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't have an answer for you, just want to say I wish the very best for your aunt!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
