I don't think a narrowed esophagus can kill you!.The esophagus is the tube the food goes down after you swallow!. It sounds like your pharynx(throat) is inflamed and since food passes through your pharynx when you swallow, it probably will make it difficult!. Antibiotics should take care of the inflammation and swelling soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you might be having an allergic reaction to something!. the act of your throat swelling shut is our bodies anaphylactic shock!. try to take a benadaryl (you can take up to 2) it should start working in a few minutes !. I had a narrowed esophagus from GERD!. My gastroenterologist did a scope and widened it with a balloon dialator!. It's usually pretty common and will not cause death so you can relax!. You need to see a gastroenterologist and get an endoscopy!. Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
