i cant remember exactly what mine was i was only just over the threshold though!.
as for you baby depending on how well control ed you keep you diet you will be fine !.
woman with GD usually have large babies and some need to be induced because of this, but as i said if you keep your self under control you will be fine - i never had insulin because i control ed my diet!. i wouldn't think it would pleasant if you needed it either, i have over 500 diabetic recipes for all sorts of stuff i have tryed alot of it and its not that bad, i could email you some if you like!. i hope my answer helps you abit,
by the was keep away from ripe bananas- coke-take away-jam-stick to 1 orange a day - just acouple of things to think about
best of luck with it all Hun
oh and remember it will go away after baby is bornWww@Answer-Health@Com

Mine was about 140 when I was diagnosed - anything over 120 is considered high when pregnant!.

Some complications range from GD is a larger than normal baby to pre-term labor (not to scare you)!. It is important to watch your diet and exercise to keep it under control!. Doctors will do everything possible to keep from giving you insulin when pregnant, but if that is the only way to control it then they will!. I was able to successfully control it by watching my carbs and sugars and walking after meals!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mine was 123!.

Usually,a normal fasting blood sugar is 80-120 but during pregnancy, the normal results are lower!.!.!.!.from 70-90!.

So I don't understand why your doctor isn't doing anyhing about a 187 result!. He should be sending you to see a dietician for an individualized diet!.!.!.!.and to a high risk obstetrician!. You may need insulin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Anything over the norm isn't good for you or the baby, especially if it goes unchecked!.

My BS was higher than yours, but again, normal keeps you and the baby healthier!. Diabetes isn't something you want to take lightly!.

I wasn't able to carry my baby to full term but was told that he would likely be heavier than a baby whose mom didn't have GD!. You should probably be asking your Dr!. how your GD will effect your baby!.!.!.he/she is the expert!

Good luck to you and your little one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
