Question: I need a diagnosis!!?
About to weeks ago a had a normal cold sniffly nose sore throat, dry lips etc!. it went after about 2 days but the cough never went :( i have had it for 2 weeks now but no other symptoms of cold!. I have been coughing so much to the point if throwing up!. and now for the past few days i have been experiencing bad pains under my first rib on the right hand side every time i cough!. I am getting worried as i don't think this is normal :s should i go to the doctors!?!?!?
i am only 17 years old and a smoker could this be the reason as i have been smoking for a few years now but why would this happen so randomly please help me with advise or diagnostic !

it sounds like you may have pulled a muscle which is common if you are having the symptoms you say that you are!.I would probably go see a doctor to get an x-ray because you may have some kinda fluid in your lungs!.!.and the body is trying to make you cough it out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You need to get to a doctor as soon as possible as this may be pleurasy!. This is an infection of the heart wall, not the heart itself!. You need to be on antibiotics!. It also sounds like you may have emphysema or possibly lung cancer!. Please quit smoking!. You are too young to die from smoking!. I did not start until I was 25 and it was part of the cause I came down with leukemia last year!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You may be coming down with bronchitis!. Yes being a smoker contributes, but is probably not the direct cause, because your lungs are not able to "bounce back" like someone with healthy lungs!. You should go to the doctor because if left untreated it can turn into pnemonia and that is serious and in some cases deadly if not treated!.
