Flat curve on glucose tolerance test?!
Question: Flat curve on glucose tolerance test!?
I have the same results on my GTT with low blood sugar/flat curve!. My Dr is treating me with metformin!. I am not overweight, no thyroid problems, good bloodwork otherise!. I had have reactive hypoglycemia for years which the test showed (had similar test results for about 30 years)!. I cannot find literature to support this treatment!. I am not seeking medical advise just looking to see if someone else has been prescribed this treatment!. I cannot find clinical trials of this nature either!. Any thoughts!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hmmm all yr sgns are good!. You seem to nterpret flat curve as good!. So you wonder why dr put u on metformn therapy!.
On a GTT one would see an 1n1t1al sp1ke followed by a reducton 1n 1ts grad1ent!. The curve eventually turns downwards before levelng out (more or less)!.
