Answers:
My son has CF!. And although he's not of the "flour" type, I can list the medical professionals he sees at the Children's Hospital CF Clinic here in Denver:
1!. Pediatric Pulmonologist (main doctor)
2!. Nutritionist
3!. Respiratory Therapist
4!. Pediatric Gastroenterologist (only if there is something wrong)
5!. Otolaryngolgist (Ear, Nose, Throat doctor) if he develops sinus infections or nasal polyps
All of these doctors are at the Children's Hospital!.
Honestly!.!.!. it would probably be easier for you to try to schedule something with a Respiratory Therapist as opposed to trying to make a "fake" appointment with the Pulmonology department at the Children's Hospital!. I'm sure the person who assigned you the project didn't intend for you to go through and entire check up for a CF patient!.!.!. especially considering that our routine appointments are about 2-3 hours long! And annual appointments with blood tests and x-rays are half-day adventures!.
You might even be able to schedule a phone conversation with a nurse at a CF Center who can give you a good understanding of treatments for CF!. Most Children's Hospitals have a CF Center or a CF Department!.
Good luck!

Cystic Fibrosis is a disease in which the body manufactures too much mucus!. It affects the pancreas, which causes the body to be unable to digest food efficiently, which in turn tends to cause CF patients to not grow as tall, and it affects the lungs, which cause the patient to cough quite a lot and have a lot of respiratory infections!. If I were you, I'd start with a pulmonologist (a doctor who specializes in disorders of the respiratory system), although I imagine they'd have to see a gastroenterologist, too, for the digestive issues!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Generally, CF patients are cared for by CF specialists, including pediatric pulmonologists and pediatric gastroenterologists!. You can find a local clinic by going to www!.cff!.org and clicking on "find a care center!." That'll even give you the name of the local doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
