Is accutane worth is for a 15 year old?!

Question: Is accutane worth is for a 15 year old!?
I'm 15 years old and have mild to moderate acne - mainly just little bumps with some big ones here and there!. My derm!. suggested I go on accutane but i'm wondering if it's worth all the side effects!. I'm going to be taking it over the summer which i didn't think was good because i'm outside playing tennis and swimming for over 6 hours a day and that could really dry my skin out more!. Also i heard of joint and back pain as a side effect!. I want to know anyone's personal experiences with it - specifically someone active who took it over the summer!. Or if i do take it if there are any other products that helped to sustain the side effects!. Please only respond or comment if you have taken the drug or are on it currently!. thanks for the help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

15 is a common age for Accutane!. I have taken it multiple times -- but most only have to take it once!. Summertime can be an ideal time for taking Accutane if your skin is oily, as the dry skin won't be as bad as it would be in the winter (when dry skin is usually worse)!. Accutane is usually not prescribed for mild-to-moderate acne, however!.

Usually, you just moisturize intensely for the dry skin!. You can take ibuprofen for any back aches or headaches!. You will be advised to minimize your exposure to the sun while you are on Accutane, so this might involve swimming at an indoor pool rather than outdoors!. This will dry out your skin, so be sure to moisturize heavily!. It would probably be advisable to cut down on the tennis if your joints start to bother you and be sure to use a lot of sunscreen; otherwise, you will burn!. Accutane makes your skin very prone to sunburn!.

Whether or not the side effects are worth it to you depends on how badly your acne bothers you!. If your acne doesn't bother you enough to tolerate a few months of side effects, then Accutane may not be the right choice for you!. Every treatment has side effects!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you tried Retin-A!? antibiotics!? Differin!?

If you haven't then I suggest you do!. Rigorous activity during accutane can lead to muscle depletion and make you more susceptible to break a bone!. If I were you, I would not go on Accutane during the summer, considering how active you will be in those months!.
