Addiction and treatment?!

Question: Addiction and treatment!?
So I am in drug treatment currently!. I went there on my own will and thought it would help, because my last drug treatment was forced!. In my last drug treatment I used and this drug treatment I am in now isn't going as well as I thought!.

The treatment I am in now has you do UAs, breath test when you are there and one on one treatment!.

It is nice to have structure, because my last treatment didn't do any of it!. The only problem is that the more restricted I am!.!. the more I want to use and the less restricted I am (in my last intensive outpatient) I used too!.

I know I want to get clean and sober!.!. I really do, but the fact of talking about drugs four times a week makes me uneasy and think more about drugs than ever!.

Do you think it makes sense!.

I DO WANT to get clean and sober, but it is so hard to when I am talking about drugs four times a week, because I start thinking about drugs all the time!. It is all I can think about, because it is all I hear about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
If your last treatment was an intensive outpatient program, it seems like you may benefit from inpatient treatment!. That way you will not have access to drugs!. If you want to get clean and sober, sometimes we have to go to extremes that we don't want to- but this may be what you need!. I understand that talking about drugs all the time makes you want to use, but eventually, the goal is to be able to talk about drugs without that craving, and have more of an understanding!. Don't get discouraged!. Hang in there!. YOU DO want to get clean and sober so be prepared for the challenge!. You CAN beat this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Be honest with yourself - you were thinking about drugs all the time before you went to treatment!. People there are just trying to help you learn how to deal with life without taking drugs - so naturally talking about drugs is part of the program!. Talk to your primary about how talking about drugs is a trigger for you to think about using and maybe he/she can help you find a way to deal with that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not mentioning your drug won't make you any more sober!. It sounds like conditioning!. As they are talking about the drug, your mind is telling you that you want the drug, but you can't have it during treatment!. Sounds like they are getting your mind use to not getting what it thinks it wants!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You make a really valid point!. If I watch tv and see people smoking or drinking it makes me want to do both!.

I would advise you to talk to the person running your program!. Tell them exactly what you wrote here!.

Addiction is an awful disease!. I wish you luck on your new journey!Www@Answer-Health@Com

try to consult to an effective and reliable treatment center!. I guess they can help you!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
