Question: When someone dies from cancer, is it usually because the cancer has shut down other organs!?
They say someone with cancer usually dies in a lot of pain why!?
Does the person die because the cancer stops the heart etc!?

Well, I can tell you what my experience was with my brother!. He had a large abdominal tumor located behind and a bit to the left of his stomach!. The pathologist couldn't tell which kind of cancer he had, but I think it started in his pancreas!. The pain he had was because the tumor was pressing on his internal organs!. The tumor had destroyed over half his pancreas and all of his spleen!. It was also pressing against the nerves of his spine!. As it grew, it kept squishing the organs and causing more pain!. He didn't exactly die in a lot of pain because he was given plenty of pain medication to keep him comfortable!. The way he died was first his pancreas failed, which caused his liver to fail, which caused his heart to fail and he died!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
This is a pretty open question and I will try to answer it the best I can!. Cancer hurts because of where it is!. Bone CA hurts because the bones have tumors on them that shouldn't be there!. Lung CA hurts because it causes you to not be able to breath!. And so on!. Where ever the CA is it will hurt because it is interfering with the body's natural process!. Cancer is just a cell that has made a copy and that copy was messed up some how!. Then the messed up cell makes a copy and so on, and soon you have a whole bunch of messed up cells floating around!. Now everyone makes messed up copies now and then but usually your body gets rid of them (your immune system attacks them) before they make other copies, so there is no problem!. But if your body makes a bad copy and it makes a copy before you can fight it off-this is cancer!. It only affects other organs if the cancer spreads!. People usually die from the complications associated with the type of cancer!. Like lung cancer- they have problems breathing!. Hi lost my mum to breast cancer in dec 2007,she left herself n didnt get to the chemo stage so although she died from breast cancer it had spread to many other organs,the organs did shut down one by one and tho she did have a lot of pain the nurses were very good and whenever she requested a morphine injection they more or less gave it to her and didnt make her wait!.I am by no means a medical person ,but i guess the signs of her dying were there for example she started to have no control over her water then her bowels so things were shutting down that stage was the last 5 days!.and the final day she went into a coma tho they say talk to the person when they are in a coma because the last thing to go is the hearing i wish i had of known this at the time ,I am truly indebted to barts hospital in london who allowed my mum to die with dignity to the end and they were fazed by nothing!.stay strongWww@Answer-Health@Com
As others have said, there can be many reasons for the actual death of someone who has cancer!.

My first wife had cancer of the oesophagus, which did not cause any pain !.!. however it spread to several bones which did cause pain on and off, this was kept under control by morphine most of the time!. She died of complications caused by the cancer, rather than the cancer itself, but thankfully she died peacefully & without pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Not everyone dies in pain !. !. but pain can be part of the process if the tumors are pressing on nerves or have invaded organ tissue !. !. so it will depend!. Most people today can be kept comfortable until they pass away !. !. pain drugs can be given continously with a pump !. !. my son carried one around (he thought it was a game controller !. !. even with dying their can be a sense of humor - he kept saying he wanted to teleport to the next level!.) There was pain but it was controlled and he died peacefully in my arms!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
They main reason is bleeding due to invasion of cancerous cells to the surroundings!. However ,as others have mentioned, malproduction of these cells within other organs -because of metastasis- won't let the native cells to work properly because malignant cells grow so fast that demand most of the blood supplied!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
it can spread to organs like kidney, liver and the brain, most people in this much pain are given high doses of morphine, or something similar and that's about as much as one can do, if its gone that far!. I faced this too and didn't know that someone could suffer that much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
cancer is a desease that comes in many forms, cancerous tumors can be very painful because it causes alot of discomfort!. my grandmother died from liver cancer, because the disease spread through most of her body, and her organs started to not work as well as they should!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
