Although junk food is believed to be linked to 'zits', it may be not be what you are eating but what you are not eating that could be the cause eg!. a diet based on sweets, snacks, fast foods and alcohol will be low in important vitamins and minerals!. Try cutting down on fatty and fried foods egs!. burgers and chips, very salty snacks, soft drinks and confectionery and start eating fresh fruit and veges, lean meat, whole grains, moderate amounts of polyunsaturated oils and lots and lots of water!.
You may be deficient in zinc!. Eat plenty of lean meat, skinless poultry, shellfish!.!.!.all rich in zinc; also nuts, seeds, wholegrain cereals, yoghurt and skim milk contain small amounts of zinc!. Vitamin A helps to maintain healthy skin egs!. liver and eggs!. Dark green or orange veges such as spinach and carrots, orange fruits egs!. apricots and mangoes!. Vitamin E egs!. wheatgerm, eggs and cold-pressed vegetable oils help to heal the skin!. Vitamin C also prevents infection!. Eat a well-balanced diet and your complexion should improve!.
You may be genetically predisposed to pimples/acne, but the most common causes are stress and increased activity of sex hormones (puberty)!. Boys are susceptible but then so are girls particularly when their period is due!. Basically, when the sebaceous glands (sebum) overproduce oil, pimples start!. Sebum carries dead cell waste away, but its overproduction blocks the pores with sticky oil and dead cells!. The bacteria that is normally present in the skin convert the sticky oil and dead cells into compounds that irritate and burst small glands, causing inflammation and pimples!. Hope you found this useful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The real myth here is that diet isn't linked to acne!. What dermatologists tell you is not based on facts!. It's just pure dogma in the medical community!. In the sixties they did one seriously flawed study that concluded that chocolate didn't cause acne!. That study was so flawed it would never have been published today!. In terms of science it didn't prove anything!.

And until early 2000 that was the only study with diet and acne!. And from that one study derms have said for decades that diet has nothing to do with acne!.

Diet has everything to do with acne!. For people who are prone to getting acne diet is often one of the biggest factors!.

Some foods that can cause acne
