Question: Heart block-what to do now,please help!?
My dad has heart blocks!.Doctor asked asked us to take angiogram!.But nobody in my family wants him to undergo balloon or bypass!.
Is there any method to clear the block without surgery!?!?

i understand how you feel my mom went threw the same thing and so did one of my uncles!.heres whats going on with your dad !. and im gonna try to help you out with figuring out the cost!. so just stay with me ok!. and have your parents read this with you it will help them to because trust me like you they have a million questions about the whole thing!. when a doctor tells you you have blocked arteries hes telling you blood flow is restricted to your heart
( meaning your not geating as much blood flow as you should) in your fathers case the reason for this is one or more blocked ateries ( ateries are like major vains that carry blood to the heart and other places of the body) it seems to be that for your father the reason for this restriction is what the call clogged atreries ( clogged ateries are bassically built up hardend layers of colesterol ) you will hear some people refer to it as a build up of plaque!. also a clogged arterie can be from a blood clot ( meaning a gob of blood os stuck in the arterie) a blood clot can move at anytime wich makes it more deadly as where a build up af cholesterol takes years to build up but can kill you in an instant, depending on how much your heart is restricted!. with your father case iam going to assume he has a cholesterol restiction blockage what can cause this is genetics , smokeing , poor eaiting such as fatty foods, also a few of the side effects of clogged arteries are high colesterol, high blood pressure stroke , heart attck, heart falure, organ shut down, and all of theres things can lead to a painful death!. so how do you stop it!. well that depends!. unfortantly your only route is surgery!. and this is what they will do depending on your surgen and i will try to list from least expensive to most expensive!. an angioplastie ( this is a catheter with a balloon on it,) this procedure is for two things!. and the most common!. they really do do thousands a day!. and they dont just do them on the heart!. pretty much name an oragan and a catherization gets done on it!. wich into one of the major arteries either in your leg neck or arm !. my mom uncle and gramps all got it in their leg!. the feeds the catheter threw upinto the heart checks to see whats going on if n e things blocks or if your dad just has narrow arteries!. wich lucky for my mom is her case!. if your dad has blockages what they will do is put a stent in place!. it kind of looks like a mesh wired slinky!. but its nothing like it!. so they put the stent in place open it up and its left in there to keep your dads arteries open!. the cholesterol isnt removed, hes not in the hospitol for months or weeks on end just a few days!. and he has to carry a card with him letting ems workers or hospital personel know that he had a catherization done at this date and time in this hospital for about 6months to a years just incase something happens like he gets in a car accident!. or walks into a wall !. ya know like a medical alert braclet for ppl who are alergic to things!. now ion to the bypass!. a bypass is for extream cases in which they do allot of these to!. for a bypass they have to replace the arteries!. and now im going to tell you why its important why your father gets this done!. my uncle was only 43!. he was having heart attacks for 5 yrs never went to the doctor until he got bronchitis two years ago!. then a few night s later he went to the hospital he only had 5% of his heart working!. he should of been dead!. but he wasnt!. he fought to live for about a year!. and then he just couldnt n e more!. he gave up everything was shutting down!. it was his kidneys that got him in the end!. a new heart didnt come fast enough!. and he had doctors from all over the country was doing everything he should and left behind three children and a wife!. what did he do for a living his wife is a waitress and he worked with wood!. so you see it doesnt matter the money you have!.you only have one heart and you might not get another one!. but as far as finances!. here are some things you can do!. you can raise money!. there is also a heart association that may cover your fathers medical expensses!. if you dont have health insurance this is something your parents will have to do, go to your local social security building!. right now your father is more then likely out of work!. i know its a daunting and somewhat embaressing task but they should go and file for every thing and i mean everything!. heap food stamps, medical, cash assistance and disabilaty for your father!. why because right now he is diabled and he cant work!. and they may get denied for allot of the thing but they may be able to get him and the rest of you some medical,and is yous can get him the disabilty he will have the medical and his bills will be 100% paid you guys wont have to pay n I don't know how old your Dad is but if he has blockages in his heart , it will eventually cause heart attacks!. Depending on where they are they can be fatal!. Medicine only does so much!.
I also don't know where you live but cardiac catheterization (angiogram) and balloon (Angioplast) with stents is very safe today and is done every mionute!. Is he high risk with diabetes or kidney disease!? If your doctor thinks it is OK it must be an option for him!.

Your ability to pay must not factor in to your decision!. There are hospitals and doctors for people without insurance!. What caused him to learn about his blockages!? You have to go ahead with the angiogram so the doctors can see how extensive the blockage is -- that could be life saving and otherwise he could have a major heart attack and die or really damage his heart muscle which will shorten his life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have arota stenosis [im young though i was born with it] and i had an angioplatsy a few years ago and i was fine and i never needed it again!. the angio is less serious then a bypass!. i reccomend it!. i hope i helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
