Question: Question about blood sugar reading!?
im the first in my family to be diagnosed with type 2 diabeties this past feb!. everyone keeps asking me to test them!. today i tested me brother!. he works 3rd shift!. he worked last night and when he got off work he ate at like 9:30 this morning!. i tested his blood sugar before he ate and when he got out of bed and it was 138!. he ate dinner!. roast, corn, potatoes, rolls, and drank mountain dew!. i tested it again 2 hours after he ate all that and his blood sugar was 134!.
is this ok or should he go see his doctor!? i thought the 138 when he woke up was a little high!. but the after dinner reading seemed ok!. what do you think!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

OK this mite be a once of thing and before you make your mind up on this issue i would take his again just to be sure if te number 18 is the right number to use for me to work out the u!.!.s!.a system to the system i use here in Ireland OK 138 is a little high after eating but it did not get higher when he had his dinnerWww@Answer-Health@Com

For diagnosis its better if you fast!. Beside that your monitor really is uncallibrated!. Given that you should suggest he get tested!. You having diabetes is alone enough reason for him to get tested!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
He probably ate something at work!. He has to be fasting for at least 8 hours!. It seems normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
