Please help me find an answer to this.?!

Question: Please help me find an answer to this!.!?
I'm having symptoms of a urinary staff infection!. The doctor's office & pharmacies will not be opening back up until Tuesday to get an antibiotic!. I've been taking AZO's and I have some antibiotics left over from another time when I went to the doctor!. The antibiotic that I have is Cleocin, which is used for bacteria!. Would this be safe to take, or would it help to take for a Urinary Staff Infection!? If you can find an answer online, it'd help me so much!. Thank you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
My Dear Princess Melissa!. you've got a few options!.
one is to go to a 24 hour pharmacy and buy some OTC's items that will cure infections, which if it's a urine infection, I don't know of any that will help!.
another is to go to an urgent care that way you won't have to pay the outrageous er copayments and have a doctor prescribe something that will actually work!. or finally, call a triage or consult line where a nurse or doctor can give you some advice!.
your right!. maybe after talking to an rn or md, you might just have the remedy in your medicine cabinetWww@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure where you are, but I know that in Colorado, Walmart now has clinics that are open just about every day!. You can also speak with a pharmacist about this!. Whatever you do, just make sure you speak to someone about this!. If worst comes to worst and you can't get into a clinic or an urgent care facility, you can go to the emergency room, but it will be expensive!. Until tomorrow, get some 100% cranberry juice and use the restroom whenever you get the urge!. If you wait, you give the bacteria time to grow!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, this is a very bad idea!. Look in your local yellow pages or online to find a clinic or doctor's office that is open on Saturday, or go to the emergency room!. Staph infections are dangerous, urinary tract infections can ruin your kidneys!. Taking leftover antibiotics is a very bad idea, could make you sicker, mask symptoms!.

This is why emergency rooms exist!. It's a holiday weekend, why don't you post a question asking when emergency departments are usually quiet and go then, to minimize the wait!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You mentioned Cleocin as your med to take!. Remember there are many types of bacterial infections!. Taking the wrong meds for your type of problem will worsen and cause problems elsewhere!. Batrim is good for Urinary infections however, I believe doctors can only prescribe it!. If you are a female make sure you are wiping your private area from front to back!. In the meantime drink plenty of water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if your having urinary tract infection symptoms and the azo isnt helping for the discomfort until you can go at regular office hours!.!.!.call your doctors office anyway and they should have a answering service to page the doctor on call or directions on what to do recorded!.!.if for some reason they do not go to the emergency room!.!.!.do not take the old medicine!.!.each antibiotic is designed for specific things and they do have a shelf life too!.fluidssssssssssss !.!.water ,cranberry juice!.!.!.!.!.get on the phoneWww@Answer-Health@Com

1!. You should ALWAYS take all of the antibiotics, because the next time you take them they may not be effective!. You can ask a pharmicist and they will agree!. 2!. Never take antibiotics that are "left over"!. Please see your dr!. for a new prescription and good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should go to your urgent care center and get the perscription for it, if that is what you have!. That is what the urgent care centers are for!. The sooner you get on antibiotics the better you'll feelWww@Answer-Health@Com

I would suggest going to an urgent care clinic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
