Question: What happens if you don't treat cancer!?
My friend thinks he has cancer but refuses to go to a doctor!. I told him he has to go but he wont listen to me!. He has had a lump for a year and it's slowly growing!. What changes can he expect!? And how can I convince him to go to a doctor!. The reason he doesn't think it's anything to worry about is because he feels healthy and everything is ok with him!. But I think the lump is something he needs to get checked out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Any suspicious lumps should always be checked out by a medical professional!. If in fact, it is cancer, it will spread to other body parts, and also to vital organs!. It might then be too advanced to treat and might be inoperable!. Sometimes people don't feel sick until it's in a late stage of 3 or 4!. When i had my lump I felt fine too, I had it checked and found out it was cancer!. Without treatment it can spread to other parts of the body!. He may feel shortness of breath,or a chocking feeling!. Tell him you will go to the doctor with him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it is cancer, he would most likely die earlier than he would have with treatment!. I physically felt fine when I found my lump too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cancer is always painless at first!. The patient is relatively healthy and feels okay because the tumor is not yet invading vital structures or interrupting body systems or causing pain!. Cancer is a progressive disease!. It starts out as a tiny mutated cell and begins to grow uncontrollably!. If left untreated the tumor can grow and fill up the entire body cavity !. !. but usually the tumor will first begin to shed hundreds and hundreds of tiny mutated cells that will go into the lymphatic system or the blood stream and travel throughout the body!. Those mutated cells than have the ability to grow a new tumor far away from the old one !. !. and repeat the cycle !. !. it too eventually can shed smaller cells that in turn will become cancer!. Cancer can grow at different rates depending on the cell type, location, and the grade (how abnormal the cell looks under a microscope)!.

It is a disease of the bone or the soft tissue (joints, tendons, muscles, fat, ligaments) and life threatening!. Most sarcomas can grow fast !. !. and treatment options are limited !. !. so the earlier a sarcoma is found and removed the better chance at survival!.
If your friends lump turns out to be sarcoma !. !. it depends on the location !. !. but if it is in the bone, than amputation is a possibility!. If it is in the soft tissue !. !. again it depends on the location but chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery are all treatment options available!.
