Question: Illness not better yet!?
I have been on an anti biotic for 1 week and It hasn't done anything!. I've had sinus pain, sore throat, coughing up and blowing out yellow crap!.
What do I do and why aren't I better!?
I'm an instrumentallist/vocallist and I need my voice and lungs!.

this could be a virus in which case antibiotics won't help a bit!. viruses just have to run their course!. you may do better with things to help your symptoms!.!.!.pain medicine for your sore throat (yes, it really does help, esp!. meds like ibuprofen or naproxen) and a decongestant which can make you a little jittery and may keep you up if you take it too close to bedtime!. AND, even though you didn't want to hear it, you may consider a second opinion!.!.!.maybe some sinus xrays to see if you have a sinus infection or a chest xray to rule out pneumonia!. not all antibiotics kill all bacterium so that could be part of the problem as well!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
If the sputum is yellow, then the antibiotics are working!. Give it time!. If you're not better in another week, then you can worry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
