This is easy!.!.!. i care for my mum who has dementia, she is 78 and had strokes 10 yrs ago!.!.!.she has bad days and better days!.!.!.I am so lucky in that she has a fab sense of humour and is not at all aggressive or nasty which i know sometimes people can be (out of frustration)!.!.!.!.sometimes it is like dealing with a 2 year old but you know that things will only get worse, not better and it can be difficult!.!.i know there will come a time when my care will not be enough, then i will certainly seek support for her (and me!)!.!.!.!.I think it must be harder with a partner because you would look after them so well that others may not realise the full extent of their condition, as my siblings and i didnt realise how bad mum was until my dad left!. If you are asking this because someone close has signs of dementia, dont be afraid to contact all the authorities to ensure you are supported as a carer!. good LuckWww@Answer-Health@Com

I would say that for a time i would go it alone, looked after my other half whilst he was ill, but its incredibly wearing, in every way imaginable, and eventually though he passed away i would have had to put him in a care facility!. No one wants to do that i am certain, especially ones i have seen, but often there is no choice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, I have been through a similar time!.
My Father has died now & it was so difficult & care is needed at the end!.
Dementia is one of the most heartbreaking diseases!.

Edit::
My husband looks after me, as I now have MS & diabetes!.
Memory loss is beginning to happen for me [due to MS]!.
Looking after anyone we love is a truly dedicated thing to do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi!

Yep, I would care for them!.

I would expect that it would be very time consuming, hard work, relentless and frustrating!.

But, despite all that (and more) I'd do everything I could to keep them at home within the bosom of the family!.

What about you!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would try my best, but I'd probably end up needing help!.
My great grandmother had it, and it was extremely difficult to help her out sometimes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would do it for as long as i was capable of doing it!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. if i needed help then i would take the help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
