Well, that all really would depend on where in the world you live!. But a sore or swollen throat is not one of the usual symptoms you would expect to see!. You could just as easily have a viral infection of some sort!. Dengue fever also causes a much higher fever to occur as well!. Your's is slightly elevated, but not yet in the realm of concern!. You also don't mention nausea or vomiting, or pain behind the eyes!. And finally- not knowing how long you have had this, makes it hard to call!. Dengue fever usually will cause a rash on or around day 2-3 of the fever!. And again, the fever is much higher!. You certainly wouldn't be here asking about things, that's for sure!. You'd likely already be seeing the doctor!. That's not to say you are not genuinely ill though- just that Dengue is only one of many, many possibilities!. At this point, you would want to take something for your fever and aches, drink plenty of fluid and simply rest!. You can certainly go see the doctor if you feel you are that ill- and if you live in a mosquito area, where dengue does occur, you should probably consider seeing the doctor as a precaution!. It may simply be a nasty strep throat, which can cause all your symptoms!. It may be a number of nasty little viral infections as well!. Dengue wouldn't be my first guess- no!. Not that it's not possible, just it's too early to tell yet!. Even if it is, the treatment is the same- rest, fluids, and fever control!. There isn't any test for it, aside from blood tests done two or three weeks apart to detect the antibody formation!. Unless it develops into the hemorrhagic form, you usually recover in around 10 days to 2 weeks, with no special treatment needed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I should say it is not wise to self diagnose and then self medicate (and it really isn't wise), but since I do it all the time, (Don't trust the @
